Arthritis

ARTHRITIS:

There are more than 100 different types of arthritis found in the human body. It can affect all age groups and sex of people and it is one of the leading causes of disability. More than 50 million adults and 400,000 children are affected by some types of arthritis. It is more common in the age group of 50 to 60 years. Arthritis is a very widespread disorder of joints that can affect one joint or more joints. Sign of Arthritis includes-A person may feel stiffness in joints in the morning lasting about 60 minutes or more, decreased range of motion, such as difficulty making a fist, joint swelling, sometimes feeling fever, fatigue, weight loss or decreased appetite, pain and stiffness in multiple joints.

Arthritis is divided in two categories called Osteoarthritis that involves wear and tear, damage to the joints and cartilage while second one is Rheumatoid arthritis in which the body’s immune system attacks the joints at the capsule lining, a tough membrane which encloses all the joint’s parts. This lining becomes inflamed and swollen and finally destroys cartilage and bones inside the joints.  Cartilage is an elastic connective tissue present in the joints. It protects joints by absorbing shock and pressure created when you move and put stress on them. When the normal amount of cartilage tissue gets reduced, it leads to arthritis. There are many medications available for the treatment of Arthritis such as Mobic, Glucosamine, and Rumalaya forte as these medications are useful in reducing joint pain and swelling and help to continue or improve joint function.

Moreover, physical events and exercise have shown well benefit to the people who are suffering from arthritis.
